Our fighters have had a fantastic day at the GTI National Open!

There were some really tough fights and a high standard of competition, so we’re chuffed that our team of 12 bagged 15 medals: 8 gold, 2 silver & 5 bronze!

A special shout-out to Tess, who fought really hard through four tough fights, only just missing out on a medal after the last fight went to a frustrating ‘golden point’ decider Soooo close! But she fought really well and made the whole team proud. Well done, Tess

Every single team member gave 100% today and we honestly couldn’t be prouder. When the going got tough, you just pushed harder and that’s what champions are made of

RESULTS: 2023 GTI National Open

Well done to Olly, Owen and Callum who completed the GTI ‘100 Rounds of Sparring’ event on Sunday 9th July! The lads slogged it out in the heat to raise funds for a very worthy cause – North West Cancer Research – and they raised a grand total of £1000 in sponsorship!

To thank them for their hard work, Hope Bear from North West Cancer Research was kind enough to visit our students at the club yesterday!

We had 12 members competing today and they won 14 medals: 5 gold, 6 silver & 3 bronze!

Special congrats to our first-time competitors – Alin, Jake and Paul – who all smashed it! And to Kaden, who returned to competition after a few years out and put on an amazing performance

Even when we didn’t get the results we wanted, we were really proud of how everyone performed. Lots of things to celebrate and lots to learn, as always!

RESULTS: 2023 ITC UK Open

Three of our students travelled to Northern Ireland recently for the European Open Taekwondo Championships. Connor, Owen and Olly were representing England after being selected for the GTI National Squad

We’re very proud to report that the lads did an amazing job, and will be bringing 1 gold, 2 silver & 1 bronze medal back to Liverpool!

Well done, lads! You’ve done the club proud.

Well done to our junior team! Each of our 7 fighters put in a great effort at today’s BUTL Junior Championships, winning 8 medals: 1 gold, 5 silver & 2 bronze!

A special mention goes to little Olly K, who won 2 medals at his first ever tournament! And to Owen, who fought like a lion against some tough (and taller!) opposition in his first competition as a black belt.

Well done also to Nikola, who missed out on the medals this time despite performing really well in both patterns & sparring.

Well done to all of you! It’s great to see everyone improving with each competition. Keep up the hard work and you’ll be unstoppable

RESULTS: 2023 BUTL Junior Championships

This lot were absolutely brilliant at the North West Championships yesterday! Everyone got stuck in and gave it their best. Our 12 competitors came away with a haul of 20 medals: 12 gold, 4 silver & 4 bronze! 💪

A special shout-out to Tess, who did really well in her first ever competition 👏

Well done also to Joe, who put in a great effort in the patterns but unfortunately couldn’t stick around for the sparring.

So many performances to be proud of! Well done, team. Smashed it! 👊

RESULTS: 2023 North West Championships

If you’ve never achieved a black belt, you probably don’t know exactly what it takes to earn one. As well as the years of training, there are always many challenges: physical injuries, frustrations, self-doubt and lack of confidence, to name just a few.

Today, six of our amazing club members overcame those challenges and demonstrated that they truly have what it takes to be taekwondo black belts

RESULTS: 2023 ITC Northern Open

Our team had a fantastic day at the OMA Regional Championships in Deeside on 26th February. Our team of 13 fighters absolutely smashed it, winning 23 medals: 14 gold, 6 silver & 3 bronze!
