Well done to Max and Zach (competing at their first tournament) and William (only his second tournament) for getting on the mats and having a go. The experience you've gained will make you even better for next time! ๐Ÿ’ช A special shout-out to Rod for smashing his first time in the adult category after turning 18 only a few days ago! He sustained an injury in the first round and still managed to win his first two bouts, going on to an impressive final battle against an experienced opponent. This international event attracts a lot of top competitors, so there was plenty of tough opposition. We're proud to have so many of our students push themselves to take part, with four doing so as part of the GTI England Squad ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ The final tally was 11 medals: 4 gold, 3 silver & 4 bronze ๐Ÿ’ช ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅˆ Jonny - gold sparring, silver non-contact sparring ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅˆ Luca - gold sparring -25kg, silver sparring -30kg ๐Ÿฅ‡ Eloise - gold sparring ๐Ÿฅ‡ Owen - gold sparring ๐Ÿฅˆ๐Ÿฅ‰ Elise - silver sparring, bronze patterns ๐Ÿฅ‰ Dominik - bronze sparring ๐Ÿฅ‰ Liam - bronze sparring ๐Ÿฅ‰ Callum - bronze sparring. We're really proud of everyone for getting on the mats, including Oli, Raza, Jay, Jacob & Rod, who all came up against tough opponents but still performed well, gaining valuable experience at a high-level competition.
